Jury Duty Simplified.

How to Use a Jury Duty Online Portal

A jury duty online portal lets you complete supported tasks and review information about your service. Depending on your court, you may be able to answer a questionnaire, submit a request, review reporting instructions, or access documents.

Start with your summons. It identifies the court and explains how to respond. Portal features and deadlines vary, so use the instructions provided for your own service.

Open the portal listed on your summons

Use the website address or QR code provided by your court. If you need to verify the portal, check the court’s official website or contact the clerk’s office using independently verified contact information.

A general internet search may lead to a different court or an unrelated service. Confirm that you are in the right place before entering personal information.

If your summons directs you to JuryQ, use the app or web access specified in those instructions. JuryQ is a service used by participating courts; it is not the portal for every jurisdiction.

Have your summons available

The portal may ask for information from your summons to locate your record. Enter the requested details carefully and check for typing errors if your record is not found.

If the problem continues, contact the court for help. Avoid creating multiple registrations unless instructed to do so. Keep your summons available even after you have accessed the portal.

Complete the required questions

Read each question and answer accurately. Review your responses before submitting them, and check whether the portal shows any additional steps or a confirmation.

JuryQ supports digital onboarding, qualification information, and exemption or disqualification submissions. The steps you see depend on the process your court has configured.

If a question is unclear, ask the court for guidance rather than guessing. Completing registration does not necessarily complete every requirement for your service.

Check the outcome of any request

Your court may allow you to request a postponement or submit information about an exemption through the portal. Follow the instructions about deadlines and supporting documents.

Submitting a request does not necessarily mean it has been approved. Check the status and follow your current reporting instructions unless the court confirms a change. If the reporting date is close and you have not received an answer, contact the court.

Review reporting instructions and check in as directed

Before your scheduled service, check the latest instructions for the date, time, location, and arrival process. Review any messages your court sends about a change.

If remote check-in is available, complete it within the window the court specifies. Remote check-in does not automatically mean you are excused from appearing or that jury selection will happen online. Follow the court’s directions about whether and when to travel to the courthouse.

If you are directed to check in at a courthouse kiosk, have the requested information or code ready. Ask staff for help if you cannot complete the step.

Get help with access problems

If you cannot use the portal, contact the court promptly to ask how to complete the required steps. Do the same if you need an accommodation or help understanding the instructions.

For jurors whose summons directs them to JuryQ, Juror Web Access provides a browser-based entry point. Questions about eligibility, approval of requests, or reporting requirements should go to the court handling your service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use JuryQ without a smartphone

Yes. JuryQ offers web access. If you do not have internet access, contact your court about assistance or another way to respond.

Does registering online mean I do not have to appear

No. Registration and appearance are separate steps. Follow the reporting instructions for your service and any changes confirmed by the court.

Where do I get proof of service for my employer

Check your court’s instructions for work excuse letters or other service documentation. JuryQ supports work excuse letters; contact the court if you cannot locate the document you need.

Hear from the clerks and court administrators who chose JuryQ.

“JuryQ delivered a pilot that proved both operational efficiency and meaningful participation gains across multiple court dates. Their team was highly responsive, implementing feedback quickly and rolling everything out with impressive speed and simplicity. The all-inclusive pricing model made it easy to understand, present, and plan for inclusion in our upcoming budget.”

Michael Gould

Collin County, Texas

“JuryQ made our Grand Jury process incredibly smooth. Their team was there to support us every step of the way, the customer service has been excellent, and the pricing is very reasonable. Our judge was also very pleased with both the process and the juror turnout.”

Shirley Graham

Irion County & District Clerk

“Before JuryQ, we were using a state-issued system and managing much of the jury process manually. JuryQ implemented in just one week, and on our first couple of summons we achieved over a 70% response rate and a 100% appearance rate. The responsiveness and hands-on support made the process efficient and easy for both our staff and our constituents.”
